De-cluttering

Busy selling away all of our crap!

So maybe you have wondered what I have been up the last few weeks while I haven’t been posting. Well let me tell you – lots!

Our kids started going to daycare four times a week this January. It`s been an adventure starting new routines and adjusting to the daycare’s expectations.

Also, I have sold off a bunch of useless to me items. I found a local internet bidding site that is kinda like E-Bay meets Craigslist. It solves a lot of the issues I have with both of mentioned sites. E-Bay is great but stuff might have to be shipped from across the world. Craigslist has never been my thing but I have used it to post free items I have left on my sidewalk.

I also sold a wig and a few other treasures. The money will go to good use and so will the freed up space!

As you can see when flipping through the many pictures, more of my cookbooks left the house too! It may be over a year since I promised any unused ones would be gone but better now than never. You can read up on my cookbook decluttering by looking through the category `Every Cookbook by 2012` on my homepage.

I am sure you have excess items hanging around your home that you could turn into cash. It`s a great feeling!

Former Education Specialist for a corporation, I have now taken a step back to spend time with my family and work closer to home. Hoping to reduce our waste through refusing, reducing and reusing so that we will not have to recycle as much. Also, I love to explore zero-waste fast food and take pictures of my sucesses. I'm a fan of British comedies like Red Dwarf and Black Adder, Kevin Smith and his movies, Asian food, documentaries, biographies and going to Las Vegas on vacation. If someone told me I could only listen to the Beatles for the rest of my life I would die happy.

  2. Wow that was an amazing amount of things to have been able to get rid of. I have been on a new purge cycle here myself every since the end of the holidays.
