Breaking the Silence

It was around the same time last year that I went very quiet on this blog. Maybe it’s the weather change or the craziness of life. No matter whatever reason or excuse, I will be doing everything I can to post more often.

We have had a busy October. I can’t remember it all.

Right after Thanksgiving we celebrated our 8th Wedding Anniversary. Last night we attended the 50th Anniversary party for great family friends and past neighbours. Mmm… 700 homemade perogies, cabbage rolls, sausage, sweet n’ sour pickles. It was delicious! When I think of this couple I go right to memories of their spectacular garden and homemade berry wine. One of the speakers mentioned that they are still holding hands while walking through the mall. I hope we can say that in 42 years.

We gave up and bought a new Woody costume for our oldest son. I was weak. He already had a Superman costume picked up at a swap meet. He did not need anything. But again, I am weak. He does love it though. He has already worn it half a dozen times! I am sure between the two boys it will be well-loved and then given away. We already have a Buzz Lightyear costume (bought at Value Village years ago) so they will go as Buzz and Woody. So once again I promise to post more. Have a great Sunday and lets hope for no tsunamis!

Former Education Specialist for a corporation, I have now taken a step back to spend time with my family and work closer to home. Hoping to reduce our waste through refusing, reducing and reusing so that we will not have to recycle as much. Also, I love to explore zero-waste fast food and take pictures of my sucesses. I'm a fan of British comedies like Red Dwarf and Black Adder, Kevin Smith and his movies, Asian food, documentaries, biographies and going to Las Vegas on vacation. If someone told me I could only listen to the Beatles for the rest of my life I would die happy.
