It seems like I need a kick in the butt.
After a boost of energy last month helped me get tons of things off my list, I am once again procrastinating. So the lists are back out and being put into action. I will force myself to do at least three things on my lists a day. I learned the “Just three things a day” strategy from my boss years ago. The idea being if you try to do to many things everyday you will end up not accomplishing much. Another boss of mine taught me to do the thing you want to avoid the most first thing in the morning. He said that then you could get it over with and not worry about it all day.
I will still be doing everyday chores like dishes, paying bills and laundry but I need to get those long put off inconviences done!
So far today I have done one of the things. My youngest son is now signed up for Strong Start. It’s a free parent partcipation drop-in at most of the local schools. I signed him up on-line which is handy.
Two more things to check off my list today so I’d better get going…
