De-cluttering

Please take our filing cabinet off our curb!

So once again I have been tackling our garage. Once again I put our wiggly Ikea mirror out on the curb hoping someone would take it.

I added a filing cabinet my parents pawned off on us years ago. It was being put to good work holding bits and pieces of our crap. No paper work in nice little files though.

The mirror went quickly,  gone to another home. The cabinet was out there forever. I wanted to shout “Won’t someone take it? Please!”.

Four days later we finally noticed that someone decided to take the filing cabinet. I’m glad it will be put to good use or at least sold for scrap metal.

I’m trying to make room in the garage for me. A room for me to paint. A room for me to read. A room for me to nap.

That’s why I need to make some room. We will move one of the couches into the garage so that it will seem more room-like. I might even add a shag carpet and a bean bag chair. Well maybe just the carpet.

If I am going to sign up for this course I will need room.

I am going to sign up for the course. I think. I am a very lucky woman to have the support of her loving husband, family and friends (well at least most of them). I’m sure I will be drawing support from all of you over the next months. Bear with me.

  1. I love when a garage is used for more than storing a car, sounds like it will be a great “Me spot”. Glad your filing cabinet and mirror found a new home. You know I’ve seen that mirror several times and just never really liked it, but then again, I’ve never been big on wanting mirrors in my home, go ahead and call me weird 🙂

    • Ha! There is a reason we put it on the curb 🙂 It was a purchase from my early 20’s. My husband never liked it and I think I only kept it for the memories! Now the only mirrors are in the bathroom. I have enough mirrors at work. I don’t need them at home too, lol.
