Here’s a funny commercial that makes fun of Swiffer!

I really thought this commercial is both funny and true. Rubbermaid Reveal mop is one of the options out there to avoid Swiffer products. It will also save you money. Now maybe you can always just use what I use – a microfiber or terrycloth washable mop. But this is a great option if you like to spray as you mop.

Have a great day!

  1. Finally someone is making something reusable. Like you I use rags to clean my floors. I have a mop, but with so little bare floors I should probably get rid of it, haven’t used it since I moved here.

    • The makers of Swiffer are ingenius. Every few months they come up with new versions of the same thing making their old one obsolete. People want the newest and latest so they throw away the older one and re-buy the same thing. I have a new respect for Rubbermaid!

      • I never bought into the swiffer “movement” it just seemed silly to me, but then I’m very old fashioned in a lot of ways. I like doing things the old way, with elbow grease and washable materials. I hate to throw anything away, always did. My one daughter-in-law, bought the swiffer for her hardwood floors which are through the entire house, but recently got rid of it for a steam type mop that has washable cloths. She too got tired of the money she spent on the swiffer. I agree, rubbermaid has been coming up with a few new products which I believe are a step in the right direction. They were the first in my area to market reusable food containers in the stores, sure they are plastic, but it’s better than all the plastic bags you use once and toss away.

      • How does she like the steam mop? My father in law lent us his a couple years ago to do a deep clean before my toddler was born. I loved it but am waiting a while before investing.

      • She loves it. Says she won’t use any thing else ever again. She had hubby get it for her for a Christmas present.
