Living on Less, Project 333

Family Portraits and Project 333

Family portraits become a little tricky if you are following project 333. We were given a Groupon for these photos and it was set to expire at the end of the month. So I had deviate from the plan. Nothing we owned seemed to match. To be cohesive we went with a white shirt and blue jean theme. So we went to the mall and bought white shirts for the photo. The boys picked golf shirts.I chose a v-neck tee. My v-neck t-shirt cost $3 and the undershirt/tank cost $5. I did borrow a pair of blue jeans from my mom. Everyone else had a pair of blue jeans to wear. Then at the last-minute I realized they really didn’t match everyone else’s jeans. Too dark. I ended up digging up my old pair that I put away in the garage. I think the photos will look good but I do feel a little guilty. Why couldn`t I last for three months within the Project 333 rules. Oh well. I will promise not to wear the white tee and tank anywhere else until the end of June. If this was before the project I would have hit the mall with gusto and bought up a new pair of jeans too. So this is progress.

Hopefully the photos turn out alright. Our toddler was crazy all over the place so we will see. I wish I would have been more in shape for the photo. Now it’s back to the gym for me and my husband. Yesterday I walked/ran 3.2 kilometres. Today I did 4.1 k. plus some time on the rowing machine. Excercise has a great effect on my mood. I feel confident and relaxed. Next time 5 k.

After this week I will have worn all of my 33 items (plus 3 trade-in’s). The last item un-worn is my black and white Betty Page dress which I will wear at my sister in law’s wedding reception on Saturday. Congrats you two!

Wish I had the tattoos to match 😉 Anyways that’s what’s up with my journey within Project 333. Otherwise it’s going well. I’m sure I have saved a fortune on clothing, shoes and jewelry.

23 days to go.
