Project 333 – The perks keep popping up!

Since the start of Project 333…

Laundry gets put away faster. Getting dressed in the morning is easier. I haven’t worn my pj top under my jacket while taking my oldest to school. The temptation to buy clothes is all but gone. Okay I admit I have bought a few new bras, a running bra and some stuff for the kids but no actual clothes that would count in the 33. I was given a t-shirt for the Sun Run but it will be just for working out or I will donate it. It took 17 days for me to finally wear the skirt I designated for work. I lived without it perfectly fine. That goes for a lot of my 33 items. I haven’t worn one of the necklaces and two of the dresses. My mother in law had one of my sweaters and I didn’t even notice. Didn’t even notice and I only have 33 items of clothing. That shows me that I had way too much clothes! Yesterday I wore my Mexx jacket and plaid skirt to the dentist so that they finally got in the mix.

The most wonderful thing happened this morning. When my almost 2-year-old woke up this morning I was able to find my pants and robe easily. I knew where they were. They were not hidden within piles of unworn clothing never to be seen again. It was awesome!

How many tights should someone own? I seem to have millions of black tights.

“The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair. The beauty of a woman is seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides. True beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul. It’s the caring that she lovingly gives, the passion that she shows & the beauty of a woman only grows with passing years.”

Audrey Hepburn

“The most important thing to remember is that you can wear all the greatest clothes and all the greatest shoes, but you’ve got to have a good spirit on the inside. That’s what’s really going to make you look like you’re ready to rock the world.”

  1. Excellent! And no, you can never have too many pair of black tights. 🙂

  2. I am loving Project 333 – so simple and quite liberating. No more indecision on what to wear in the morning. I know that everything is clean, functional and I love it.
