My 2012 Sun Run Ipod Playlist

Everything in life improves with just a bit of music.

I still remember when we used to make mixed tapes. Now we make playlists. Music has changed so much in my lifetime. Ghetto Blasters to Walkmans,  portable cd players to Ipods. Crazy progress. I have made special playlists for vacations, parties and meetings. I even made a “giving birth” playlist that I expected to be played during my last delivery. The baby had other ideas. It just made sense to make a special playlist for the Sun Run.

There are literally millions of options and songs to choose from on ITunes. This is all zero-waste fun by the way! Here is a copy of my Sun Run playlist that I created with some new downloaded songs plus some of my favorite workout songs. It kept me moving and grooving. I will have to shorten the list for my next run because I didn’t get all the way through it! It’s full of songs of my youth mixed in with some other stuff….

There are 34 songs, 2.3 hours and my Sun Run time was 1:50 so I over estimated a bit.

I plan to buy some new ear buds for working out soon (or at least by the next run). Probably Sony or Skull Candy. I borrowed my husbands but they hurt and kept falling out. The picture below looks like what some of the runners had on Sunday. I want them, now!

What music do you listen to while you workout? Maybe I will make a new list…

“If a man does not keep pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer. Let him step to the music which he hears, however measured or far away.” – Henry David Thoreau

“Focus on the journey, not the destination. Joy is found not in finishing an activity, but in doing it.” – Greg Anderson

About stephanieough

Wife, mom, concerned citizen of the earth. Striving towards intentional living rather than blindly following. Former Education Specialist for a corporation, I have now taken a step back to spend time with my family and work closer to home. Hoping to reduce our waste through refusing, reducing and reusing so that we will not have to recycle as much. Also, I love to explore zero-waste fast food and take pictures of my sucesses. I'm a fan of British comedies like Red Dwarf and Black Adder, Kevin Smith and his movies, Asian food, documentaries, biographies and going to Las Vegas on vacation. If someone told me I could only listen to the Beatles for the rest of my life I would die happy.

  1. I was singing some of those in my head as I read through your list. Nostalgic.
