Aero Shot = More garbage in the dump.

When I see people on tv talking about Aero Shot I think one thing… garbage.

Oh my god! Another product designed to replace a perfectly good existing product… coffee. Aero Shots are so wasteful. People will not get used to recycling the container which looks like a plastic lipstick tube and will just throw it away along with its other wrapper. It’s supposed to replace a cup of coffee or an energy drink. People are still working on remembering to recycle those things. Coffee is definitely still for me and in no way does this product entice me.At $3 a pop you might avoid calories but you are sure hitting your pocket-book. If people really want caffeine in a non-drink form what about old-fashioned caffeine pills. It would save them lots of money plus the packaging is recyclable. One caffeine pill gives you the same one cup of coffee worth of caffeine. The cost is only 9 cents though compared to $3.Well I can’t say I’ve never taken them. Around grade 12 graduation I remember taking them to get through the long exam days. I wouldn’t recommend them though because a cup of coffee works much better and has some antioxidant benefits. I’m just mentioning the choices.

Does anyone remember the 1990 episode of Saved by the Bell “Jessie’s Song” when Jessie gets addicted to caffeine pills.Well it ain’t 1990 anymore and teenagers along with many adults will look for ways to turn Aero Shot into something way more dangerous. I’ll stick to the traditional Bailey’s spiked coffee on Christmas Eve morning thank you very much!

That’s my rant for the day. What’s your opinion?

  1. Agreed on the product, and any reference to Saved by the Bell scores points with me!

  2. Bailey’s spiked coffee on Christmas morning sounds pretty good. Any morning! 🙂
It’s amazing what a disposable society we live in—even with people.
And it bothered me when you said you had to constantly defend trying to live waste free in your comment on my site, because I do too. I waste so much time defending myself. How absurd. It seems ridiculous that we should have to defend that. I want to take a cold, wet rag and slap these people in the face. “Wake up!” Defend that. LOL!

    • Maybe we just need to surround ourselves with more like-minded people. My family is just on our journey towards something but that doesn’t mean that we try and work towards change 🙂 I’m so glad I found your blog because it does feel good to find someone that thinks similarly!

      • On the top right hand side of my homepage there should be a little heart icon that says subscribe. It should send you to a page where you can subscribe or at the bottom of each post I think you can subscribe to follow either the site or the comments. I think…. but I’m pretty new to this blogging thing. 2011 was my first year. If that doesn’t work let me know and I will have to find out 🙂

      • hmm…It will only let me subscribe to the mail if I have my mail set up on my computer. But it won’t let me get it in my yahoo or hotmail inbox……the next time you go into your dashboard set up, take a peek around and see if there’s a subscribe button you can stick on your page. I have one but don’t remember where it was. I’ll look next time I’m in my dashboard! I’m dying to subscribe. Your info is so good!
