My goal when I started this blog was to figure out how to live my life intentionally. I wear many hats. The mom, the wife, the daughter, the friend, the artist, the blogger, the woman – just to name a few. How can I make a more intentional focus on the different aspects of my life so that they can be more nourished? Every week I plan to choose an area of my life to focus on. One action in particular to pay homage to it in a way. This week being the first of 2012 I chose my physical health.
It’s close to home, has child-minding and fantastic hours. Our hope is that we will encourage each other to go together or separately as much as possible. I would like to get back to the weight I was this time last year (about 10 pounds lighter). Physical wellness affects your entire life. Being fit will help me be a better…everything else because I should have more energy to play with the kids or clean the house, work long hours or dance all night. It also gives us something we can do together other than hang out at home or go for dinner and a movie. The usual excuses are invalid for the most part because they have a room you can bring your kids to (for a small fee). They are also open 24 hours Monday to Thursday so that removes a huge barrier too. No excuses just new dedication.
