What I'm doing to be...

At a loss for words.

I feel like I have been waiting for some things to magically happen on their own. Unfortunately that’s not how life works. So I have been silent. At least on here. Inside my head my words have been going a mile a minute.

There are things in life I do have control over though.

The pest control company came and set up a humane solution for our rodent or skunk problem under the shed. There is a door to let whatever is under there out and then it will be sealed up forever. Our crawl-space will be cleaned and sanitized on Friday by the same company. We will have so much more storage room! This of course costs big bucks that we don’t have but oh well.

My parents gave us their Christmas tree so that helped our holiday budget. We have already spent over $200 on the kids. The majority of the toys bought are used or wooden with little to no packaging and purchased at Toy Traders. We did buy our oldest Buzz and Woody that talk to each other. Hey, you’re only 5 once.

I guess you could say I’ve been in a bit of a funk. Hopefully I can pull myself out of it. It made me happy to see that people are still reading old posts. Sad that I haven’t had it in me to add anything new. My goal is to post almost daily again. The new year is approaching so I need to finish my cookbooks. I need to re-visit things that I tried this year and really be honest about whether they worked or not. There will be resolutions to set and plans to make. There are posts that are almost finished but just need a few added touches and I must get on it.

If you like this blog and have anything you’d like more of or for me to try out let me know. It’s through knowing that people might be inspired that keeps me posting.

About stephanieough

Wife, mom, concerned citizen of the earth. Striving towards intentional living rather than blindly following. Former Education Specialist for a corporation, I have now taken a step back to spend time with my family and work closer to home. Hoping to reduce our waste through refusing, reducing and reusing so that we will not have to recycle as much. Also, I love to explore zero-waste fast food and take pictures of my sucesses. I'm a fan of British comedies like Red Dwarf and Black Adder, Kevin Smith and his movies, Asian food, documentaries, biographies and going to Las Vegas on vacation. If someone told me I could only listen to the Beatles for the rest of my life I would die happy.
