After scraping out the last of my foundation and powder I was in real need of some. There are a few better options out there (for people who wear makeup) than the big cosmetic brands traditional products. Ideally I would like to buy zero waste or totally recyclable makeup but for now I bought some Physicians Formula – Organic Wear pressed powder and tinted moisturizer.
The powder case uses 93% less plastic than regular powder containers. It’s also 100% free of parabens, harsh chemicals and synthetic preservatives. 15% of ingredients are from organic farming.
The tinted moisturizer covers two needs and is 80% organic, 100% natural origin, 100% non-gmo, free of harsh chemicals, synthetic preservatives, fragrances and colors, plus it’s 100% cruelty free.
One of my favorite things about these products is that the outer packaging is completely cardboard. No plastic!
I’m someone who needs to wear makeup to cover blotchiness and look appropriate for work. It’s nice to know that there are better options out there. Products don’t need to come in plastic packaging. Less plastic can be used to create similar products. So far I like how the products perform.
What cosmetics have you found that have the right blend of limited packaging and good results?

Good to know! I’ve bought physicians formula in the past, but didn’t know that they had the organic option.
